Talk to a practitioner
The daily card reads the season. A person reads you.
What this is
The engine behind this site is good at one narrow thing: telling you what today is like, and what that asks of your lunch. It deliberately does not look at you — no symptoms, no history, no judgement.
Sometimes that is exactly what people want next: a practising physician of traditional Chinese medicine who can look at your whole picture — sleep, digestion, energy, the season you were born into — and translate it into food, rest and rhythm. We work with physicians in the tradition of classical Chinese medicine, who offer consultations in that same plain-spoken spirit.
Consultations are wellness and lifestyle guidance within the traditional Chinese framework. They are not medical care, diagnosis or treatment, and they do not replace your own doctor.
The physician
Dr. Liu — devoted to the classics of Chinese medicine since childhood, Dr. Liu has spent decades in close study of the Six-Channel system of the Shanghan Lun (Treatise on Cold Damage). He reads cold damage, warmth disorders and internal injury through one and the same six-channel frame, and works with acupuncture and herbal formulas side by side, attending to root and branch together.
He favours classical formulas that protect the body's original vitality (yuan qi), and — while supporting the body's return to health — gives careful attention to the Daoist small-circuit practice (xiao zhoutian, 丹道周天), keeping the body in step with heaven and the season (tian ren tong bu) so that recovery can be thorough rather than partial.
Dr. Liu consults in Chinese. If that is not your language, say so when you write — we help bridge the conversation.
More physicians are being introduced; the list grows with demand.
How it works
- Write to us — email [email protected] with your question and, if you like, your birth date and time. A sentence or two is enough; there is no form to fill out.
- We match you — we introduce the physician whose experience fits your question, and agree a time that works in your time zone.
- Meet — online by video call, or in person at the clinic if you are in China.
- Take it with you — afterwards you get a short written summary: what was observed, and what to eat, drink, rest and practise. Plain English, no jargon.
Fees vary by consultation length and type — write to us and we will tell you the current rates before anything is booked. Nothing is charged until you have agreed a time.
What a consultation is not
- It is not a diagnosis. If something hurts, bleeds, swells or keeps you up at night, see a doctor in your own country first.
- No prescriptions by post. We do not ship herbal formulas internationally or promise cures for named conditions.
- No emergencies. For anything urgent, contact your local emergency services.
